Your Kaster account is assigned one Company Kaster Number (paid subscribers only). All messages sent to external contacts by any of your internal Kaster users will be sent from this one number, and delivered via SMS text message. A link will be included in that message that the recipient can click to view and/or reply. Internal messages will delivered in app and/or via SMS (depending on your Notification Settings).
To send a message, or a group message, in Kaster, please follow the below steps:
- Open the Menu by clicking the Kaster logo button, then click 'Messages'
- Click the blue button with a pencil icon
- To send an individual, one to one message select or search for (via the search bar) and select the contact and click the blue 'Create' button
- To send a group message click the blue 'Create Group' button (you have the option to name this group chat in the box at the top of the window), then select or search for (via the search bar) and select the contacts and click the blue 'Create' button
- The message thread will be created on the left side of the app, with the content and text field to create the message on the right side of the app
- Type the message you would like to send in the text field at the bottom of the right side of the app
- If you would like to include files or media (size limit of 150mb), click the paperclip icon to the left of the text field and select the file, or drag and drop the file into the text field
- Click Enter or the arrow to the right of the text field to send the message, and you will see that content appear within the conversation
